Our Cuba tour has certainly started off with a bang! From the very start this trip was destined for greatness. Stephen Colbert was on the same flight and the concert choir greeted him with giggles, handshakes, and selfies. After a fairly simple and carefree flight, we immediately learned a very important and valuable lesson: patience. Some students had to wait over an hour for their bags to glide across the conveyor belt. But all was redeemed as soon as we exited the airport and were welcomed by vibrant colors, old cars, and rain! We later enjoyed a scrumptious welcome dinner, a throwback sing along, and even a late night swim. We have already had so much fun and it has only been one day! We all look forward to having a marvelous week in Cuba!
